Here are some illustrations and a mission map I made for Historic Royal Palaces, for an event at Kensington Palace called Queen Caroline’s Garden Party. I hope it was as much fun to go to as it was to draw!
I’ve been adding lots of new things to the shop on my website:
Including this little book, which is a short poem I have written, illustrated and hand bound. Each one is made to order, and the cover is hand customised with lovely gold ink and coloured pencil. There are also prints, cut out books and original paintings to buy!
Don’t forget to go to the Drood Inquiry site and vote for the ending you believe in / want!
In my humble opinion it was: Mrs Crisparkle, in the crypt, with a blunderbuss…
On Saturday I was part of a conference at Senate House in London, discussing solutions and resolutions to The Mystery of Edwin Drood. It was also the official launch of the Drood Inquiry Site (http://www.droodinquiry.com/home), which I have been making illustrations for.
There were some really interesting talks, which made me want to read the book all over again. It was nice to see my pictures on show, especially in a setting that looked so much like a police incident room (fitting for a literary murder trial!), right in the heart of Dickensy London.
