Don’t forget to go to the Drood Inquiry site and vote for the ending you believe in / want!
In my humble opinion it was: Mrs Crisparkle, in the crypt, with a blunderbuss…
On Saturday I was part of a conference at Senate House in London, discussing solutions and resolutions to The Mystery of Edwin Drood. It was also the official launch of the Drood Inquiry Site (http://www.droodinquiry.com/home), which I have been making illustrations for.
There were some really interesting talks, which made me want to read the book all over again. It was nice to see my pictures on show, especially in a setting that looked so much like a police incident room (fitting for a literary murder trial!), right in the heart of Dickensy London.
Very pleased and slightly confused that the inventor of the Butterfield Diet, Kitchen Gun and Internet Ham, Peter Serafinowicz, is using my picture of John Jasper as his Twitter profile pic. Long may it last!
Have a look at the rest of this project on me website:
And the Drood Inquiry site!
Follow my new blog too! It’s got lots of sketches for a project I’m working on for Bristol 2014 (to explore how Bristol went to war in 1914). Take a look!
Here is a link to a really helpful article on getting your small press books and comics reviewed, also it mentions me, which is nice (for me) :-)
